Will the leaves spring?

Here in Larvik the ever returning question each year is will Bøkeksogen get green in time for 17 May. You get pretty sick of hearing it year after year after year. But it's still always on your mind. The beech tree forest can be seen from the town center, and when the leaves spring they look, for afar, like a lid of green over Larvik town.

Every person that lives in Larvik has a relationship with the beech trees that populate the north west edge of town.

And I can't help but wonder if those little buds will spring out for our National day.

Hundreds of artificial flower factories in the Pearl River delta area of Guangdong province in China have been built since the early 1980s.

Fake flowers.

A beautiful sunny day spent at Verket, hanging out with Malene, sitting out in the sun with my laptop (seeing next to nothing, but loving the warm weather), kissing Andreas, going for a walk with Andreas, climbing mountains with my camera and 18-105mm lens (not ideal at all, too heavy, it knocks me off balance!).
Andreas bought me 5 liquorish canes, one for each month we've been together, and we went out Bjønnesstranda to watch the moon ♥

What I wore that day:

Human-Etisk Forbund (The Norwegian Humanist Association) has arranged non-religious confirmation courses in Norway since 1951.

The table.
Madelen in a Bunad she had borrowed.
My brother Stian and little Tristan.
My cousin Stine.

My cousin Benjamin had his secular coming of age ceremonie this weekend. It was a lot of fun, nearly everyone in the family was there. So the room was pretty full and it got pretty noisy. But I think Ben enjoyed himself, and it was his day after all ♥ no pictures of him here though, I don't think he would let me x)

What I wore:

Dress from Ellos, cardigan from my sister, vintage bag, accent heart and cheap uncomfortable heels.

Romantically patched.

I've always loved patchwork things.
When I was younger I used to find cool 70's fabrics at flea markets and patch them onto bags, or even just sew myself on of them. Now I prefer leather-like bags, they're more sturdy. And they are, sadly, harder to attach things to.
I also love patched (quilted) pillows and blankets ♥

Leaves can store food and water, and are modified in some plants for other purposes.

The leafs have started to spring. Almost anyway, within some days I hope there will be leafs on several trees. I'm exited too see them again, but I think I'll miss seeing the naked branches reaching for the sky.. But that will all be here Autumn again, so there's no reason to be sad ♥

What I wore:
Wearing nudes with color, beige thrifted cardigan, beige top from Guidance, jeans leggings from Vero Moda, patchwork bag from CMYK, DIY brown belt, scarf borrowed from mom and brown Chuck's.

Brown is a color term, denoting a range of composite colors produced by a mixture of orange, red, rose, or yellow with black or gray.

I am on the search for some brown sneakers. I need some shoes that are comfortable, yet fits into my style. Brown sneakers totally would!
But there's a problem, all the good ones are strictly for men. Or at least just not my size, usually from 39 (7) and up. Darn !
I will continue my search. Perhaps I'll just have to bite the sour apple (is that a saying in English? it is in Norwegian anyways..) and buy online.

Any of the ones on the pictures is a good candidate ♥ I mean, I can't have black sneakers, they don't match my bags ! Haha.
