Nostalgic, pink romance.

This is my aunt's living-room. Nostalgic pink and romantic. I love her couch.

A loft can be an upper storey or attic in a building, directly under the roof.

Light and airy.
Our Beach Boys cassette.
Some candles and some magazines.
The view out the windows.

I've been super busy the past two weeks.
Linda and little Eirik have been visiting for two weeks, I have been sorting my pictures and most of all I've been preparing to move.

Me and A finally got an apartment ♥ !

It's a beautiful, not so small (but not so big, hehe), loft apartment, there's even room for a small office. We got our keys this Monday, and we've been moving in slowly. We don't really have any furniture yet, but we hope to take a trip up to Oslo to buy what we need at Ikea. I love Ikea.

What I've been wearing,
yes, seriously, this is what I've worn for like four days now:
Waterfall cardigan from Lindex, floral top from Cubus.

Question round ♥

How do you make your backgrounds and headers?
I don't make the background, someone else more talented at it did that ;) hehe. But I make my headers, I take photographs and put them together in photoshop CS4. What I usually do is that I surf around other people's blogs for ideas on how to do both :) inspiration is always good!

And what are your thoughts on including your friends pictures in your blog?
The only thing you can do is to ask. Most of my friends know about my blog because I ask them if I can post their pictures (and mention their names), or from my links at facebook, and most of them don't really care about it. I've got some compliments, some shrugs and my BFF Sven thinks that blogs are stupid xD

I hope it won't be too private. So, how have you known Andreas? Where have you met him the
first time? I don't remember if you told us about it before.
I met him at Sporet on a Friday night. I actually wasn't feeling like going out, but I'd made a date with a girlfriend of mine that I really didn't want to miss so I went.
There was two other people in the cafè, other than me and her, a guy I'd met before and some other shy looking fellow that I spotted in the corner of my eye.
Having decide the other weekend to give up guys I though I'd give this last one a chance, even though I'd told myself to just not bother with men anymore. And I'm sure glad I talked to him. Being as smart as he is, he borrowed me his 50mm lens, so that we had to see each-other again. The photo-trip we took to Bøkeskogen was out first date ♥

Oh, I have a question! Where do you get your sense of style? It looks a bit japanese (but has cleaner lines, which I love).

I draw a lot of inspiration from cute Japanese girls, so it's a definite influence. Other than that I just watch what people wear around me, and around the web of course.

And, what IS Cafe Verket? Is it like a art shop/gallery/cafe? It looks wonderful.
Cafè Verket is a cafè with art exhibits rolling over 6 months at a time (I think). It's run By Verket Fritid and they focus on including people who don't have a lot of money and perhaps don't have a job (for whatever reason), so there's really cheap coffee and lunch. And if you wish you can join Verket Fritid as a member and participate in workshops and groups, like the photo-group me and Heidi have.

Can you tell us a bit about your medical condition and how it affects your day to day life or fashion choices.

Well, I have ME/CFS. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS or ME) is a condition that causes extreme, debilitating fatigue. There are also many other symptoms that usually follows the fatigue when a person with CFS gets physically or mentally exhausted. Some of these are pain in the joints and muscles, headache, sore throat, loss of concentration, blurry vision and nausea. CFS does not have one known cause, but appears to result from a combination of factors. I've been sick for 8 years now.
It effects my days, of course, I have to rest a lot, and if there's a lot of stress I will get worse quickly (like PAMINYOURFACE-now-your-feeling-awful-all-of-the-sudden) and then get better slowly..
At some time I decided that even though I was sick and housebound there was no reason why I shouldn't look great. Clothes was a nice way to feel a bit better, even when my joints were aching and my head felt like it was floating around in space.
I've gotten a lot better for the past few years, but I'm not completely recovered. If I'm under too much pressure I get sick quickly. So I try to stay positive, and to not think about my ME too much. Some times it easy, some times it's hard.

What is your favourite flower?
Liljekonvall? I like pretty much all flowers :) Like with colors, I don't really have a favorite one.

Do you do anything special when you style your hair?
I wash it once or twice a week, the fringe I wash a bit more often, and I use a conditioning treatment every now and then. Currently I'm trying out Biosilk silk therapy treatment.
I use mousse in my hair after I've washed it then I blow-dry upside-down for volume. And that's pretty much it.

How many languages can you speak?
I can't speak Swedish or Danish well, but I think that if I stayed in any of those countries for longer periods of time I probably would.
Other than Norwegian I can just speak English. And I know a few words on Polish, like kot (cat), kocham cię (love you), chmury (clouds), pies (dog) and las (forest). Oh, and słuchać, which means "listen to me", that and kocham cię is my favorite words so far.

Favourite and least favourite thing about blogging?
Doing it and having to do it. Double jeopardy, hehe.

Who do you live with? Parents, roomate, etc.
I'm moving out with Andreas soon ♥

What do you do for a job?
I'm still recovering from ME/CFS so I can't work yet. But if I could choose I'd like to work as a photographer, for a commercial company or having my own studio ♥

How many siblings do you have?
Two, my sister and a brother :) both older.

Is your family big (lots os cousines, aunts and uncles) or small?
Big, definitely big.

How did you start with photography?
I started because of my ME actually, I wanted to capture all the good time with my friends for when I was too sick to join them.. And from there it escalated, I've owned a proper SLR camera (starting with Nikon D60 and then purchasing Nikon D90) form about two years now.

When you think about your childhood, what comes to to your mind first?
Madelen ♥ my cousin. We played a lot together when we were kids.

Were you nice and polite child or "a little devil"? ;]
I was actually sort of both. I was shy and did what I was asked to, but I also fought all the boys, and me and my cousin went on exploring trips in the forest for hours on end we were quite the risk-takers!
Though and soft at the same time. Much like now.

Buttons made from seashell were used in the Indus Valley Civilization for ornamental purposes by 2000 BCE.

Buttons and wire.
Buttons, buttons, buttons.
Some finished ring heads.
Buttons combined with rocks and glass bead, white buttons and a wooded one, buttons on coins.
Endless possibilities!
Screaming donkey glue. Hm, or maybe it's laughing?

Me and Malene went button hunting at the local sewing shop today. And man, buttons sure are expensive in this country! So first order of business; search for buttons on Ebay. Key words; button, lot, vintage, mixed.

On another note, I have a crush on a new piece of clothing. Waterfall effect cardigans. When I first saw then, I hated them, but Malene showed up in winter-time wearing a blue one to perfection. And after that I have been wanting one so bad, but I could not find one.

I suppose the universe heard my plea for a waterfall cardigan and brought me plenty ♥

After just a few months they are now everywhere. I love them for their versatility, with some brooches and safety-pins you can do so much with them!

What do you think?

What I'll wear for the next couple of days:
Hair up or down?
Waterfall cardigan from H&M, jeans-leggings from Vero Moda, bag from CMYK, and an amazing blue stone necklace A gave me ♥ (will have more pictures of it soon)

Sva (fra norrønt svað, «glatt sted») er et bart fjell- eller steinparti. I moderne norsk brukes ofte ordet svaberg.

The other day A brought me to a place I'd never been. We climbed over the the rocks, called svaberg (from the Old Norse word svað, meaning "slippery place") here in Norway.

We found a secluded rock beach with two tiny summer-houses. Dow by the sea we picked some rocks, some really pretty ones, before we sat down and drank some coffee.

As we walked a bit up the shore, we found a bonfire-pit behind a wall of rocks. So we decided to light it up for warmth and sit in the grass and watch the sea. It was such a beautiful day.

Campanula rotundifolia is a rhizomatous perennial flowering plant in the bellflower family native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.

Bluebells in the wind.

I had to put on pants today, it turned out too cold for shorts. The forecast said sun, but it's been cloudy, windy and cold. But then again, I love to layer up my clothes so that's exactly what I did!

Well after I took my outfit shots mind you, sorry about that.

And A finally caught my cold, after a week or so of me being sick, so his throat has been sore and he's been a bit tired. I feed him hot tea, much cuddle and even more love. I hope he get's well soon ♥

Any of you guys gotten sick with a summer-cold?

[Don't forget my question round, ask me anything]

What I wore before I had to put on pants:
CMYK bag, modified ballet flats (they had a strap that I cut off, didn't care for it), a button ring that matches my scarf (I should really have taken pictures of that, darn), my balloon shorts from Indiska and a blouse from Kapphal.

En hyttebok er en bok man har på hytter for å skrive inn opplevelser, hilsener og kommentarer til andre brukere av hytten.

God mat for fire (1951)
A's book.

Me and A check the cottage-book and it turned out that we had been there for EVERY weekend for the last two months.

How wonderful ♥

A cottage-book is a book where you write short about what you did when you where there, how the weather was (during winter we always write the temperatures outside and inside), and if you saw any animals and things like that.
Cottage-books are fun!
