The conventional wisdom is that good friendships enhance an individual's sense of happiness and overall well-being.

A prrfect summer day and a prrfect summer cat, taken early August.
A summer day.

A summer day.

A summer day.

Nicoline has been my friend and ally for over 14 years now, she was always there for me even when my ME/CFS had me bed-bound she always wanted to hang out with me.
Now she's getting old. And for the first time in her long life her health is stating to get to what one would expect for an old cat. It makes me so indescribably sad, she might only have a year left at best..
Losing dear friends and pets sure isn't easy, especially when you take the grief beforehand, I tend to do that. Nicoline is still purringly alive, if not kicking a bit less than she usually does. But the thought of never seeing her again is just making me so sad thees days..

Have you lost a pet that was dear to you? And how can one best cope with such a loss?

A Cafè may in the United States mean an informal restaurant.

Today, after lunch, was the first day of Foto på tur (Photography out and about), I'll post the pictures later. Me and Heidi enjoyed a couple of hours out in Bøkeskogen in the sun, which was lucky because the rain has been pouring down since.
Is this rain autumn I wonder.. But the leafs are still green, so it's still late summer too me.
But then again, everyone has a different view of when autumn start.

When is autumn for you?

After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.

There are at least six varieties of tea: white, yellow, green, oolong, black, and pu-erh of which the most commonly found on the market are white, green, oolong, and black. All teas are made from the same species of plant, though different varieties may be used, and the leaves are processed differently, and, in the case of fine white tea, grown differently. [Wikipedia]

I really like tea, my favorites are White Tea and Indian Chai with milk. But Strawberry Mango was pretty good too ♥
Do you drink tea? If so, what's your favorite?

I didn't wear this that day:

I want to bake Red Velvet Cupcakes. They are delicious, and I love the color ♥
Heidi's daughter had baked a batch for the opening day of activities at Verket, I bought one to split with Malene. I really wish I could bake.

Thursday is hobby workshop, so me and Malene continued our button work, it's a neverending project. Unless the un-speakable happen; running out of buttons. But buttons are so cheap we really don't see that happening.

So the weekdays are back to normal in Larvik, school children have started school, work has begun and morning TV has finally started, yes, I watch morning TV every week-day, it's always so cozy, hehe.
Are you back to the reality of every-day life yet?

What I wore:

Incidentally this pair of pants cost me as much as I paid for one cupcake, I love sale as well as cupcakes.

Personal property, roughly speaking, is private property that is moveable.

The couch.
Our apartment.
Some books.
Our apartment.
A plant, one of many.
Our apartment.
A green phone. A's guitar. A tiny radio.
Our apartment.
Ikea storage shelf. Button-fridge-magnets.
Our apartment.
Some tea-lights.
Our apartment.
Our war-tank.
Our apartment.

There's been both sun and rain the last weeks, both warm and a bit cold. Summer has been quite beautiful in Larvik this year.

I love our new apartment, we're only missing a kitchen table, a washing machine and an internet connection.

No internet connection means not a lot of blogging getting done, sorry about that, hehe.

But I finally got some pictures taken, I had to stick with my 50mm f1.8 to get enough light, the zoom lenses I have aren't great indoors.
I really, really want a 24mm f1.8, a Sigma actually, it's a hellofalot cheaper than Nikon's. I'm off to Oslo next weekend and I hope FotoVideo has one in store!

August has begun, but I decided summer lasts until Spetember. Verket Cafè started up again last week, everyone has a lot to do and I've been standing by in case there's some help needed.
I did some photography work for them yesterday and today, and I have a list from Jannicke that I'm eagerly completing.

~New pictures of the cafè with a bit more action in them

It's fun to have something to do. But I, sadly, do not feel well at all thees days, my ME is really bad. So for now I really need to keep my activities to the minimum, but doing what I can so I won't get too bored.

It's still pretty warm outside:

Haha, I'm Bohemian Barbie.
