Crochet (pronounced /kroʊˈʃeɪ/) is a process of creating fabric from yarn or thread using a crochet hook.

I've taken up crochet again now that the weather is getting colder, I have a scarf I hope to (eventually) finish.

I'm at least eight snowflakes in now, it's been nice to keep the hands busy when your worried too.

But thankfully my mother is better now, so I'm not so worried anymore. She's still in the hospital, but she's more of herself again, yet still a bit tired.

I hope she can come home soon, I really miss her.

But for now I have at least the 45minutes drive in to the hospital to crochet.

What I wore today:

Knitted cardigan borrowed from mom, floral dress from Floyd, scarf from H&M, jeans-leggings from Vero Moda, a vintage bag and a pair of not-so-comfortable SoftWalk heels.

I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to take a break from blogging.
My mother is in the hospital, she's sick with a virus. She will probably be fine, but it's going to take a while the doctors say, there's nothing they can do with viruses so the body just have to heal itself.
In the meantime we're trying to get the house ready, she was re-doing her bathroom and her kitchen when she got ill. So there's tubs to be bought, cats to be cuddled, boxes to be moved, sinks to put together, and a sick mom to visit.

I'll see if I can get an update in every now and then, but it might be a while.

Calm is an adjective meaning peaceful, quiet; particularly used of the weather, free from wind or storm, or of the sea, as opposed to rough.

I've almost always had a real bad habit of getting stressed out way to easy, it hasn't been that bad lately, but suddenly it kicks in.

I have one to many things I have to do, my heads starts racing like it's freaking rocket powered, adrenalin pumps all over the place, and I stay on my feet for about an hour maybe two. You know, when your tired, and that adrenalin high just keeps you going even though you know you should just chill.
Hehe, I think it's whats called burning the candle in both ends.

I pull myself together reasonably fast now though, but my body doesn't always follow as fast. So I'm left feeling a bit tired, so for now I'm just going to be real nice with myself. Being all stressed out is no fun, being relaxed and calm is. So that's what it'll be, relaxed and calm.

There are two main ways of producing watermarks in paper; the dandy roll process, and the more complex cylinder mould process.

I think I've mentioned before that one of my favorite activities is putting things off. Hehe.
One of the things I have been putting off forever now is making a watermark for my pictures. I really, really should have one. There's a lot of image theft out there, flickr provides some security, but when I post the pictures here there's been a loop-hole that allows people to download them.
Personally I hate it when you can't download the pretty pictures that you find on blog, but frankly, my pictures are valuable to me. They're my art, and people should be able to see that they're mine, and I should be able to have some sense of control of who has has my pictures. But a watermark goes a long way.

But I can't really decide on which to use. The only certain thing is that I want to use Jessica's, better know as Jellyka, work.

Textiles are formed by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or pressing fibres together (felt).

Yesterday me, Heidi and Anne Kari took Heidi's car to Drammen after lunch at Verket.

The destination was Stoff&Stil (Fabric&Style), a name known to all who likes to get creative with fabrics. They have incredibly low prices, and they've got good quality too! Anne Kari were looking for different felt-fabrics, lace, ribbons, thread and a new sewing machine even.

If I were rich I'd buy a bunch of fabrics and pay someone to make me dresses from them ♥ I'm not that good of a seamstress, I'd just mess it up, hehe. I did buy some things tough; a burgundy lace, a brown stretch-ribbon and two belt buckles. Not much really.

Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter usually in September when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier.

It's been an exceptionally dark day. Well, I suppose there's really not anything exceptionally at all about it being darker now, that's usually how it goes when little Larvik goes all autumn. But this is the first day this autumn that the sun doesn't even seem to lurk behind the clouds. How sad..
I need some extra cheering up in this weather..
